The system can be used in a variety of applications, offers high security levels for homeowners and residents and provides an easy to operate locking system, that’s ideal for everyone, including the most vulnerable people.
The Winkhaus AV2E Autolock is the perfect choice for communal doors in developments such as apartment blocks. It can be used in conjunction with most intercom systems for residents to grant access to the lobby without leaving their own flats.
The high level of security makes the system a good choice for use in sheltered housing projects for vulnerable people. The lock has automatic hooks which engage whenever the door is closed, resulting in continuous security for residents. This feature means that whenever the door is closed, a Secured by Design level of safety can be maintained.
The traditional close and lock functionality of the standard AV2 lock is hugely enhanced by the electronic features of the AV2E. Options for biometric readers, electronic keyless opening and disability related products including automatic door closers can all be used in conjunction with the AV2E Autolock system.
As well as providing constant security, the lock is really easy to use. There’s no lifting heavy handles to lock doors and it comes with a ‘crash to exit’ function, so if the internal handle is pressed, the system disengages. And in the event of a power cut, there is a battery backup.
